Paint By Dots is a European dot painting brand built around one idea: that making something with your hands, slowly and deliberately, is one of the most satisfying things a person can do.

We make dot painting kits that actually work. Pre-printed canvases on proper 240 g/m² polyester. Dual-tip markers that flow consistently and cover cleanly. Designs chosen because they produce a result worth putting on a wall, not just adding to a pile of unfinished craft projects.

 

Our story

My name is Ati Dalgaard, and I started this because I could not find what I was looking for.

I discovered dot painting as a way to slow down. I work fast, think fast, and find it difficult to genuinely switch off. Dot painting turned out to be one of the few activities that pulled me fully into the present: the next circle, the next colour, the next dot. An hour would pass and I would realise I had not thought about a single thing I was supposed to be worrying about.

The problem was the kits I could find. Markers that ran out mid-session. Canvases that buckled. Designs so complex they produced frustration rather than calm. I spent a year testing materials, formats, and designs before building something I was genuinely happy to give to someone I cared about.

That became Paint By Dots.

What we do differently

• Our most popular product is the custom photo dot painting, where you upload a photograph and we convert it into a personalised canvas.
• Every single conversion is reviewed by a real person on our team, not an automated algorithm.
• We check that it works before it goes to print.

• All kits are produced within Europe and shipped directly to customers.
• UK orders arrive in 4-5 working days as standard.
• Custom kits can take a little longer because of the manual conversion step, but never more than 7 working days.
